A rare post that's not about books.

I’m not sure how many of you know about my hobbies, or are interested in them. It’s fine if you’re not. Feel free to come for the books and stay for the books. But I am, or recently have been, pretty deeply involved with dogs, cats, horses, hiking, travel, and astrophotography.

I’ve had a page on this site called “My Astrophotography” for a few years, but I have no idea how many people have viewed it. Also, I had a lot of older stuff on there that I no longer liked, and I really only posted something new now and then if I thought it was good.

Recently, though, I had a breakthrough in processing (bringing out all the fine detail the camera sensor captured). I learned a handful of new tools and processes, and they made such a huge difference that I started pulling up older photos and reprocessing them. This led me to completely redoing the page on this site, and I’m happy with the way it turned out. (And no, I did not put in all that time at the expense of my writing. I just finished a novel in the past week, handed it in, and I already have 18 pages of something new.)
